Why did you start playing roller derby?
I saw an advertisement on the University of Iceland private board for a sport for women. I grabbed some friends to go with me to a parking garage where Roller Derby Iceland started on inlines. I was immediately hooked and have been playing since.
What are you up to when you're not playing derby?
I work as a programmer and am pursuing my masters in Software Engineering as well.
What is the best thing about playing derby?
The freedom you feel on skates, the team spirit and that everyone can be good at it.
What is your favourite Icelandic food or candy?
Probably anything containing liquorice and chocolate.
